38 week doctor appointment

My appointment this week was changed to today from yesterday, but yesterday I thought I might be leaking amniotic fluid, so they had me come in. Turns out I wasn't, but I went ahead and had my regular appointment while there, and I'm about 2 centimeters dilated and 75% effaced! My doctor doesn't think I'll make it 2 more weeks. I had a contraction while she was trying to measure my belly, and she said that was definitely a contraction! I'm just excited all the contractions I've been having are actually doing something! She also said he has dropped a lot lower. Maybe I won't make it to next week's appointment next Friday! Oh, and my group B strep test was negative!
